Each character has an obviously troubled past in this almost dead world and all are trying to work out their problems during the game. If you put too much time into leveling up some of these characters, you would be horrified that they might die later.
SOUL NOMAD AND THE WORLD EATERS ONYX BLADE HOW TO
By this logic Revya and Gig are bound together being able to know everything about the other (as Gig puts it though, their relationship is obvious "You scratch my back and I'll crush yours.") Revya has to know how to use Gig's power without him taking over her body (and if he does game over). The story sounds very simplistic with the sarcastic protagonist joining with her ditzy childhood friend and a psychopath Death God and then you're later joined by a hot blooded Sepps (elf?) with a sister complex, a quiet but observant cleric, a beautiful (if not nasty) nerid (mermaid) an old Redflank who whines about Sepps (a Minotaur), an innocent archer and the game's butt monkey but this game isn't afraid to drop characters out of the plot or outright kill them.

The minute she takes it, Gig tries to take over her body but is stopped by Layna's power (of course if you choose the demon path, it doesn't really work). While Danette gets to choose her weapon, Revya is given the Onyx Blade. Lady Layna calls them one day and bestows them weapons to help them on their journey to defeat the World Eaters instead. The leader gig was sealed into the Onyx Blade after Layna defeated him and would wait for 200 years to break free.Enter the protagonist (whose gender you choose but the default name is Revya and gender is female) and her childhood friend Danette who have been in a hidden village all of their lives training to become guardians of the village. A lone man named Median reunited the world but upon his and his son's death, the world fell to chaos and while it was joined together later, the planet of Haphnes was attacked by monsters called World Eaters that destroyed most of the planet. But from what I got you get a lot of history of what happened to the continent. I'm usually good with games or animes with complicated plots).

This game is very dark, depressing and serious for the most part (there is a lot of dark humor but that's expected of a Nippon Ichi game) and I enjoyed it all the way through. The story is complicated (no really it is for me and I still feel lost at what happened at the end. (The other games that should have gotten the M rating are the Devil Survivor games). I'm surprised that this game got rated T with all the horror that goes on in this game deserves an M rating.
